It's time for the Lakers to move on Lebron. He has cost the Lakers far too much and is just going to continue to hamper this organization. He is not good enough to lead the team to a ring. Continuing to run the offense through him is keeping the Lakers from playing their best. He has already cost the team many years of draft picks, he is way too expensive, and the Lakers do not need Bronny at all.

  1. All things being equal, longer is better.
  2. There are no actual positions in basketball, and there never have been.
  3. The only stat that can be treated scientifically is FT%.
  4. Shooting and dribbling are the only real basketball specific skills.
  5. Most basketball ideas and terminology are inaccurately borrowed from football.
  6. All pros can easily play the entire game (48m).
  7. Any pro today who is not 80%+ on free throws is not practicing them enough.
  8. Trying to win is not compatible with any effort to target any team or individual statistic.
  9. There is an inverse releationship between effort spent on defense and rebounding, and scoring ability.
  10. If an opponent makes a shot, it doesn't mean the defense was bad.
  11. Buiding muscles vs. increasing basketball skills. A choice must be made in the pro career.
  12. Standing vertical is the only measure to compare jumping abiity.

In basketball, sometimes a seemingly less talented team can go up in a game and look like they're about to win. And then they don't. You see this a lot in the NBA, especially. What allows some teams to turn it on in the end? The answer is they have skills to spare. Sometimes, a lesser talented team can temporarily succeed due to a clever strategy, or hustling and being more energetic. But in the end, the skills cannot be overcome because a more highly skilled team can score more easily with less effort.

A Significant Impact on the NBA Ecosystem

This is the first year without MJ. Ratings very clearly go down at this point and never recover. This is a clear distinction in NBA history when looked at from a ratings perspective. Also the year of the lockout. So many "changing of the guard" situations here.
